Family Playtime

We have had an awesome time this last week. We did a whole lot of nothing. And it really was awesome. Jason took the whole rest of the week off after his family left because it was our anniversary that next weekend, and he wanted to not have to worry about when he would be sleeping before work. So me and the girls had him to ourselves all week!! Here's a peek at some of the things we did. Again, not much, but it was some good quality family playtime.

Fist thing, Jason's first project out using his new workbench. I went out one afternoon hearing a bunch of hammering/drilling, etc, and see that he is making this from the leftover wood from the workbench!! He made us a washers game!! I had never heard of this game before I met Jason....so if you have no idea, it's kind of like horseshoes...but with washers. 3 points for in the middle circle, 1 point for in the box. We proceeded to spend a good couple of hours outside playing. Jason beat me every time. I need to perfect my washer throwing skills I guess.

Makayla decided she wanted to take some pictures, so here I am...haha.
Makayla being daddy's helper.

We also got to leave the girls at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a night and went out for our anniversary! We did a lite dinner, then headed out to the movies. Yes, that's right...2 movies...DOUBLE FEATURE!! We had never done 2 movies back to back. We are hard core like that.

Oh, this one is totally out of order. This was from today. We had an early birthday celebration for me at my parents house today while everyone was there for dinner. So Jason and the girls gave me this necklace!! I LOVE it. So simple, so beautiful. Perfect.
Back to our week. We played forts...
We read books...
Played in pj's all day. (You can see Brooklyn still has bed head hair...and this was definitely sometime around lunch..)
My little cheeser.

I want more weeks like that one. Sometimes we have more fun when we stay home and just play and do nothing, than when we make big plans and go places. I don't want summer to end.
