I am working on something awesome. You will see. It is turning out to be ALOT of work...but hopefully will be worth it in the long run. I think it will!

Bookshelves!!

We had saved up enough dough to pay for Jason to build a bookshelf.

Here is the beginnings of the bookshelf!


All shelves in and ready for some finishing paint to cover nails and some trim on edges!

Paint and trim all done...I was practically giddy at this point...could not wait to get books on those shelves!

How incredibly awesome is that!? I love it...We still have quite a few boxes of books...maybe I can convince him to build another one somewhere else in the house....hehe.

Preschool day 2!

Little Miss thoroughly enjoyed her second day of preschool. She doesn't even bat an eyelash when I leave. She sat right down and started cutting shapes today! Plus I love her tongue hanging out. She inherited that trait from her daddy...I love it. Anytime she's concentrating, out it comes!


She's growing up too fast for me dangit...

Man vrs. Mud-5k

I completed my first 5k. It kicked my butt...big time, I walked probably half of it. But it was still super super fun, and I will for sure be doing it again next year!! And by then I dang well better be able to run all of it! It started off with a giant water slide, followed by a 100 yard long mud trench, chest deep, then some running, then some hay bails to climb over, another giant water slide, (I flew insanely fast down these...like flew off the end of the slide into the grass, knocking people out as I flew by...FAST! I don't know if it was my pants, or my rather large rear end or both...but it was awesome. Then we went through some crawls, rope obstacles, tubes, more trenches, bogs, even a river to swim across (which was freeeeezing cold...). And finished it off by another giant water slide into a huge mud pit, where I almost lost my contact...It was a miracle I managed to keep it in.
We had some awesome photos of the before and after, and they had photographers all along the way who got some awesome shots of us...but at $6 bucks a picture, I don't think we'll be purchasing any. Ok, well we might have to splurge for one or two....:)
It was by far the funnest thing I've done in a long time. We had a huge team, and split into two groups just after starting...the fast group and the slow group...haha. Gordon, Bry, some cousins, uncles and friends were in the fast group, then me/Jason (only because he said he'd stick with me no matter how slow I went), Greg, Jen and her aunt were in the slow group. Poor Jason, I told him next year we'd both be in the fast group...I know he just wanted to take off running, but he was a sweetheart and stayed right by me encouraging me and cheering me on...I love him.

Here's the before...you can probably tell I am nervous....haha. I knew it was gonna kick my butt...

And all worth it...coming up the final hill to the waiting team members and family!


Next year we are going to rock it....that's a promise!

A Day With Me and the Girls

This is what me and the girls do sometimes when it's either raining outside or just too hot to go out and play...we watch movies and just play and be silly!! We are very entertaining.


I don't know how I got my face to do that...haha...very attractive I know.
She wears my headphones so that me and Brooklyn don't make too much noise and "bug" her.

Pretty good at making messes...and laughing...and playing and having a good time...hopefully it starts cooling down soon!! We need to play outside again!!
