A Birthday

Mine.
Today.
I am old!!
29 to be exact.
Which is extremely close to the "big one."
I try not to think about that.

Instead I just look at these and remember that I am ok with 29...for now...:)

More pics to come soon. I think I will combine Anniversary and birthday pics in one post, since they are so close together. I just have to finish all of my work deadlines, then the fun picture posting can commence.

Arizonnnnna part II

Here are some more fun times we had!

A lovely pic of Bryce Natl. Park. (just pretend you don't see the reflection of a large drink cup...)
I made Jason turn around after we passed this sign, just cause I thought it was cool. It's in Orderville, UT...just in case you were wondering.
And this is my cute brother....hehe!
Uncle Dwight and Jason...I was laughing so hard when I took this, cause Dwight made me take like 5 pics before he was finally OK with this one. He was trying to "suck it in so I look like Jason." haha. He cracks me up!!
Game night with Grandma and Grandpa. Good times!!

The end. There are lots more pics, but I'm kind of too lazy to wait for our slow internet to load them all.

Arizonnnnna

This last week we took a road trip down to sunny Arizona. We got to spend almost a whole week down there, which was awesome. Besides it being 110 degrees all week...that part was not so awesome. We got to visit Austin and Jackie and see their new place and hang out with them a couple times. We stayed at my Grandparents place in Mesa. We've never been able to stay much longer than 2 or 3 days with them, so it was so nice to have them all to ourselves for a week!

Here's Jason starting us out on our trip! He's so cute when he drives...

Here's how Makayla entertained herself almost the entire time. Watching movies on the i-pod. Mostly Lady and the Tramp. Or "Doggy Movie" if you prefer...
Makayla playing with my little cousins in Great Grandma's toy cabinet. You can fit a lot of kids in that thing!! They were playing peek-a-boo and thought it was hilarious.
Makayla admiring the "giant huge fishies" at the Arizona Mills mall. Pretty cool place.
Playing with Austin and Jackie and dad at the pool at their place.
More to come soon!

Bountiful basket

I have been wanting to try this out for quite some time now. So this program called Bountiful Baskets is awesome!! You order on Monday or Tuesday, and pick up your produce at the location you choose from their list...which has a TON of locations, on Saturday morning. I was quite shocked by the amount of produce we got!! Way more than what we paid for, that's for sure. It was awesome. We ate like 7 ears of corn in 2 days, made some mango/peach salsa with all ingredients from our basket. Made a fresh salad, shared it with my family because it was so much that we couldn't eat it all! I wasn't thinking ahead very well, because we picked it up on Saturday and then left for Arizona on Tuesday. So we ended up giving away the rest of what we didn't eat to my brother and his wife, who were quite stoked to say the least. They got lots of yummies.
Here is the pick of our "haul." (as Jason put it). Minus 4 onions, which were in the fridge, and 2 mangos, 2 tomatoes and about 4 peaches that all went into the salsa.

Makayla's first corn on the cob experience. She was in heaven.

She ended up eating just about every single little kernel of corn off of that cob.

Fairy Camp

So the week before our trip to Arizona, we had Makayla go to Fairy Camp at Melody Lane Pre-school, put on by my aunt and my cousins. This was perfect timing actually because Makayla has recently become literally obsessed with fairies, and princesses. Tinkerbell especially. We have both Tinkerbell movies and, not kidding, usually watch one of them at LEAST once a day. And actually, they are pretty cute movies....haha.
So anyway, Makayla had an absolute blast and talked about it for days, and even brought her magic wand she made at camp with her on our Arizona trip. Here is the before camp pic of her. She was prancing around the house in her little fairy things.

Ok, so my computer is not letting me rearrange the pics in the right order, so this middle pic is of her getting ready to leave for camp. The top and bottom pics are AT camp.

She loved it. Fairy Camp 2011 can't come soon enough!
