I Don't Even Know...

I have no idea what to title this post.  It's just a bunch of random things from the last few weeks.  I feel like I've neglected the blogging world.  But I really don't care all that much...I guess I'm just too busy enjoying life right now.  But here are a few pics from my phone.

Brooklyn lately has been getting out of bed after we put her down, which she never used to.  She'll go out and lay in the hall, or sit on the stairs, usually falling asleep by the time we realize she's out.  The other night before I went to bed, I went in to check on them like I always do, and this is what I found in Makayla's room.  Both girls were sound asleep.  Poor Brookie crashed on the floor.  I guess she just wanted to be with her sister.  Maybe it's time to put them in a room together.  :)

 We took them to see Santa at the mall again this year.  Once I told Makayla that the Mall Santa's are Santa's helpers, and not the real deal, she was much more willing to go.  It somehow made it not as scary for her.  Who knows.  This is the first year there were no tears from either girl!  Yay!  Still need to work on Makayla's camera smile...haha.  I get a kick out of her.

 Here are all the girl cousins, in their new Christmas outfits from Grandma.  They are adorable. 

Oh, and by way of slightly bigger news....we found out IT'S ANOTHER GIRL!!!!!  :)  Poor Jason is seriously outnumbered, and was really hoping for a boy.  But I guess if you're really good with one thing, you stick to it, right!?  Sorry J-bug.

Here's my little Ipod addict.  Seriously, this girl loves playing games on the ipod.  And she's pretty darn good at them too!!  She's so funny.

Well, I guess that's it.  We're all slowly coming out of the misery that hit us last week.  All of us except Makayla got hit with horrible colds.  And let me say that being pregnant and having a sinus infection is probably one of life's most horrible tortures.  You can't take much of anything, and you just want to die.  Ugh.  I hate that my immune system does this to me every time I'm pregnant.  It goes on vacation.  But if that's all I can really complain about, I guess I better shut my mouth.  It could be worse.

I Hope They Call Me On a Mission!

My littlest brother Bryon (who is actually the tallest of my brothers), got his mission call last week!!  Ever since the announcement at conference, he has been SO excited to go!  He cracked the whip on my mom getting all of his doctor apts, and everything ready to turn his papers in. 
So last Wednesday when he got his call, we all gathered at my parents house for the opening!!  He could hardly stand it...neither could I, I was so excited for him!

It's so hard for me to believe that my Little Bry is big enough to be going on a mission already!!    He'll always be "Little Bry" to me.

Halloween

I didn't take many pictures this Halloween. 

I did manage to get them both in their costumes right before heading out with dad to trick or treat. 

Oh, it loaded my pics out of order once again.  So here's this one first.  Kayla wanted her hair like mine one day, so we curled it all up.  It turned out so cute!

 I love this face.  Such a mischievous look...

 And here's Halloween costumes!  Snow White and Strawberry Shortcake (which was Tinkerbell about 5 minutes prior to leaving the house).  Brookie saw the Strawberry Shortcake at the last minute and decided she wanted to be that instead of Tinkerbell.  Definitely a girl, changing her mind at the last possible second!

Pumpkin Walk

Well I had this whole thing typed up and when I inserted all of the pictures, it got erased somehow.  So I'm not going to type it all up again... my fingers are icicles right now.  Ha...or I'm just lazy.  Take your pick.

 I took this pic of Makayla with her picture she colored.  This was the face I got when I told her to say cheese.  She was in the middle of saying "say what?"  haha...I just thought it was a funny face.

Arizona!

Next up, our trip to Arizona!  We finally got to drive down and meet out nephew Paxton!!  The girls did amazing on the drive down, thanks to our friend letting us borrow their DVD players for the car.  Life saver.  I think we heard Horton Hears a Who about 12 times...but it kept them entertained, so I'm not complaining.  And since I was still in that not so fun stage of pregnancy, Jason drove probably 95% of the trip.  Bless him.  I'm usually really good about driving, I actually like to drive on long trips.  Keeps me from getting bored.  But not this time.  I slept a good portion of the way down, and back, and just tried to be pleasant despite how I was feeling for the rest. 

Getting started!

 The girls insisted on going swimming while we were there.  It was warm, 75-80 degrees, but the pool wasn't heated yet, so it was pretty dang chilly.  But it had to be done!!  Makayla had been looking forward to it the whole time.  So Jason was such a good daddy and went with them!

 Little Paxton's blessing day!!  This was Papa Wade holding him while I snapped a shot of his cute blessing outfit.  It was so cute.  Austin gave him such a good blessing.  It was a great day.

 Her mothering skills are already instilled.  She was such a good little helper. 

 On the way back, we drove past Moqui Cave.  I've always wanted to stop and see what its all about, but we never have.  So this time, I told Jason we should stop, he was not really feeling it, but Makayla overheard me say the word "cave" and she was insistent that we stop.  She got her way...haha...or I got mine...either way, it was a fun little stop.  It's more of a museum of some old guy's collection of rocks/historic artifacts, etc...the history of the cave was pretty cool.  Good to say we've been there once.  And that is probably the one and only time. 

 It was quite a bit bigger inside than I thought it would be. 

We did also stop in Orderville at a couple of rock shops on the way home too.  Nothing picture worthy...more for a stretch of the legs.  But we did see some interesting rocks!

Where to Begin

I don't even know where to start, I've been away from the blogging world for so long.  The past few weeks have just been a blur, but I am finally past the morning sickness, pulling out of the extreme tiredness...slowly but surely, and heading into the deadly heartburn stage!!  It makes it's appearance every time, right about week 15...which I hit this week!   But trust me, I'd rather deal with that than the lovely weeks 7-13!! 
I just looked at my phone (yes, still using my phone for a camera, hoping Santa will finally bring me a nice camera!!) and there were over 75 pics that I hadn't downloaded yet.  So get ready for a picture overload.
Let's start back in August/September.
Jason's work had an awesome fall party at the American West Heritage Center.  The first time they've done it there, and I think they should do it there from now on.  SO much better than Merlin Olson Park, like the past few years.  Just so much more fun for the kids.  They had kettle corn, pony rides, train rides, jump houses, all the cool old historical buildings to go through, face painting, art contests, giant (and I mean GIANT) slides down the hill, and FOOD...good food.  All for FREE, which was the best part! 
Makayla walking ahead of us.  She was so excited, she was always about 15 steps ahead, wanting to see what was next!

 She went straight for the pony rides.  Which didn't surprise me. 

 She LOVED it, and came back about 3 times during the day for more rides.

 The GIANT slide.  Makayla tested it out first, then Brooklyn said she wanted to go, which surprised Jason and I.  So Jason took her down first, and she LOVED it, giggled the whole way down, then she went with Kayla...about 30 times...I kid you not.  They laughed and laughed the entire way.  Even when they'd end up twisting and going down backwards, they both just loved it.  Jason and I just stood up at the top laughing the whole time.  It was a blast. 

 The walk up...not so much.  But that didn't deter them from doing it over and over and over....Makayla was so good to help Brookie walk up the hill every single time.  She held her hand the whole way up.

 And at the end of the day, she wanted to make sure I took her picture with her butterfly on her face.  She loved it. 

Such a fun day, and the best part was the completely exhausted children that went straight to bed at the end of the day!! 

One More!

It's time I made it official and put this out in the blog world for all to see. 

We're expecting a little bundle of joy in May! 

I've been incredibly sick with this one.  But I guess I should clarify...being incredibly sick during pregnancy for me means NOT throwing up, but feeling like I'm about 2 seconds away from it 90% of the day.  So most people would consider it lucky to not throw up...but I'd actually prefer to if it would offer some relief, even if it was only a little while.  But what can you do? 

I'm almost 11 weeks, and starting to feel slightly better.  Yesterday being the exception...it had me down for most of the day, when usually it only hits really hard from late afternoon on through the night.  

We are SO excited for this new addition to our little family.  We've already got a name picked out if it's a boy.  We've had it picked since before Makayla was born....haha.  If it's a girl, heaven help us...it takes us until we are leaving the hospital to finally pick one!  I don't know why girl names are so hard for me!  

May can't come soon enough, the girls are already picking names.  I think Makayla said she wants to name it Larry if it's a boy, or Sally Boy (a name she had picked for her little cousin)....she's um...creative with her names.  She's positive it's a boy.  We'll see!

Brooklyn hasn't really grasped the whole new baby concept.  Maybe a little further down the road.  Let's just hope we get her fully potty trained by the time May comes around!  I'd rather not do the whole 2 kids in diapers again.  Not fun.  

Sand and Sunday Posers

Well, we finally got the rest of the sandbox finished....or I suppose I should clarify that JASON finished it...I did however help him spend the money to get the rest of the supplies...that counts right?
So here are a few pics of the last of the process of getting it all ready for sand!  That's the last step.  Jason has been checking out a few places around town to see who has the best sand.  He's pretty particular...haha.

Jason never fails to impress me with his skills at building things!  He rocks.

And now onto the Sunday Posers.  Both girls wanted braided pig-tails for church this last Sunday.  So that's what they got.  Then Makayla wanted her picture taken, and of course then Brookie did as well.  So it turned into a mini photo shoot while they ate their breakfast.

 I think this is one of my favorites of Brooklyn.  Just captured her cute little personality so well.  She's always asking questions with this cute little head tilt, and at the end of every question, she'll say, "right mom?"  It's adorable.  That's what she was doing in this one.
