Nothing at all

I'm finding it very hard to be at work this week. Especially because Makayla hasn't been her usual lovely cheery self when she's there with me. So it makes it difficult.

We did get some news though. Jason finally found out where he will be doing his student teaching. He is like the last one in his group to find out. We were a little ticked that it took so long, but he will be going out to South Cache in Hyrum. Kinda sucks that all this stuff he has to do is at one end of the valley or another. For his clinicals he had to go to Brigham City twice a week, and also out to Sky View. We were hoping he'd get to go to Logan High, so he could just drop me off at work when he went in, but no....am i bitter? Maybe just a bit. But what can you do.

Anyway. I need to go buy some flowers to plant out front. I'm seriously getting the bug to do some gardening. And i want to have a real garden this year...veggies and all.

This girl is 4 months. Can you believe it? It goes by way too fast. She likes to flare her nostrils. I think it's so cute.

Baby Haylee!

Makayla got a brand new baby cousin on Wednesday the 21st. Little Baby Haylee Geddes was born around 5:30pm, weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. She's so cute. She and Makayla will be in the same grade in school. 4 months apart. I'm sure they'll be best friends. Haylee looks nothing like Dillon, and has Gordon's mouth. The cutest big bee stung lips.

Gordon and Kristi are so happy. Kristi especially i'm sure, she was SO ready to be done with the pregnancy, and just excited to meet their little girl!

Wow...do i feel stupid

Ok...so the dentist trip yesterday was umm...interesting. I had 3 problems i wanted him to look at and was totally expecting the worst. Just cause with my teeth...the worst is usually what i get. So he starts looking at one side and asks...
"Nell, have you had popcorn in the last week?"
......Flashback to, oh, like 4-5 days ago when i ate an ENTIRE bag of kettle corn.....
"umm...yeah..." (thinking to myself he's some crazy psychic dentist and what a random question) "but i promise i flossed!"

So he pulls out a piece of floss...and ties a knot in it, and dives right in. Sure enough, pulls out a gigantic piece of popcorn shell that had lodged in my gums between two teeth in the very back. And then he held it up and sang a victory song...and i laughed and felt like an idiot. (My dentist is my uncle and also a little crazy sometimes)

And my other problems are all fixable with a bite gaurd...because apparently i grind my teeth at night, and that also might be the cause of all my headaches lately.
Yay!! No root canal!! Woohoo!

So...next time you eat popcorn...make sure you floss extra carefully before going to the dentist.
Lesson learned.

Never thought I'd beg for this...

PLEASE can i go to the dentist!!! Ahhhh! My tooth freaking kills. And to make matters worse, i got the worlds biggest canker sore on the OTHER side of my mouth, making it pretty much impossible to eat anything at all. This isn't just any old canker sore either. It's gigantic, and way in the back by my back molar...making it so that i can't open my mouth all the way. Ugghhh...so i had called the dentist last Thursday and they couldn't get me in till today at 3. I just pray that Makayla doesn't get my horrible teeth. I've had problems with them ever since my first teeth came in. My front teeth came in fused together. And i had a mini root canal done on a baby tooth. A sign of problems to come.

On a more positive note, Makayla will be 4 months this week. Holy cow, it's gone by so fast! So we got her this cute little Bumbo Chair, and turns out she absolutely loves it. Sitting up like a big girl. So here's some funny pics of her in a goofy hat sitting in her new chair....

Crabby, cranky, grouchy, tired...etc...

Ok...not me....i'm not all of those things. Except for maybe the tired part. That i am. And maybe the etc....as well. But amazingly not crabby, cranky or grouchy. That would be my daughter. Yes...she was not a perfect sweet little angel for me for mother's day. She was a screaming, tired, angry child all day long. And one that hasn't had a messy diaper in almost 3 days...which could be the reason for all the crabby-ness. I mean, i would be quite upset if i hadn't pooped in 3 days.

But besides that, Mother's day was quite nice. Jason made food, i got a pretty Gerbera daisy (my fave) at church and chocolate truffles too. And J-bug got me a massage gift certificate! Woohoo! I almost cried. Haha.

We also got to spend all day Saturday with Jason's mom and all his siblings. I think it was like the first Mother's day she has spent with all 4 of her kids together in a long time. So that was really nice. We had a great time with her. She's an awesome mother in law. I totally lucked out there!

Grandpa, Grandpa!

Jason's dad came up for a visit yesterday. We hung out at our place from 9am till 11:30 doing a whole lot of nothing. Jason and Austin played X-box 360, me and Ashley watched and got really bored...Makayla gave Grandpa a good snuggle.

Then we tried to decide on where to eat lunch for about a half hour, and wound up at this place...

And a great time was had by all.
