For All You Mormons Out There...

This is for you. I found this through a friends page on facebook, and I sat in my chair at work and laughed SOOOO hard. Some of these little sayings are priceless. Especially from the kiddos. I just had to share with you all.

Enjoy.

Photo tag

I am doing this just for fun, and because I was curious as to what photo was 4th in my 4th photo folder. (say that 10 times fast...I dare you!!)
So here it is...Jason and his dad in SLC at Grandma's house. I think this was last year, cause I remember I was very pregnant. Luckily I am NOT in the photo. Good thing this photo tag said 4th photo...not 5th!!

See any resemblence there???

Not Forgotten

(I've been meaning to post this for a whole month and am just now getting around to it...)
So for my birthday back in August, I mentioned to Jason that I wanted to go to a Weezer concert. (Weezer being a favorite band of mine from back in the day...and still a fave) And what do you know, that ended up being my birthday present! The concert wasn't till the first part of October, but just having the tickets in hand was a perfect gift! It seemed like it couldn't get here fast enough.

Concert day arrives, and I told Jason that we had to hit all my old "concert stops" on the way. My friend Anna and I used to go to alot of concerts back in the day...when we were single and had money of course...and we used to go eat at Red Robin before the big show.

Jason had never had the Red Robin experience, and I hadn't been there in probably 5 years or so. So we ate there, and it was excellent.

After an early dinner, we made our way to the concert. We used to park at a movie theater across the street from the E-Center for free, but guess what!! Not free anymore. They wanted to charge...get this...$20 bucks!! Even more than the event center itsself was charging. So we parked down the street at the Baymont hotel (shhh....i think that was probably not legal) and hoofed it.

The concert was awesome as expected, and we both rekindled our love for the Weez. Jason's last time seeing them in concert was back in like '96 or so when they opened for No Doubt. I went to the same concert in Utah. He in Illinois. How cool is that!?

After the concert, we had to stop at Slim Olsens' in Bountiful for a drink to keep us awake for the long drive home. Slim's being another "concert stop." The lady at the counter noticed my husband was wearing a North Logan Fire Department shirt, and started asking all sorts of questions and then got off on a big long story about a fire by her house. We kept trying to move closer toward the door so she'd get the hint that we were wanting to leave. She got no such hint. It was like 11:30pm, and we still had a good hour drive home. So finally we just had to make a break for it and kind of cut her off. Politely of course. I'm sure she was just bored and lonely working a gas station counter at midnight.

To make a long story short, it was an awesome night. My concert days may be coming to an end, but the occasional one here and there still keeps me "young." Plus I got Jason all to myself for like 9 hours!! Unheard of!

Let us all pay homage to the WEEZ!!

We're back!

Well, we made it back from Illinois without too much crying on the plane. I mean, we cried a little...but it's Makayla we were worried about. She cried a little more than we did. For the most part, she was SO good though. On the flight out there, she just charmed everyone around her, and they all thought she was a doll. On the way back, not so much. She was still cute of course, but not so charming. She was good for most of the almost 3 hour flight. The last 45 minutes were a bit rough. But I guess we shouldn't complain, cause it could have definitely been much much worse. Like tonight. She's trying to get back to her normal routine, and having a bit of a rough time with it. Hopefully it won't take too long. She just needs mom to get off the computer and put her to bed!

We had a great time out there, got to visit alot of family, and see how Cassie was doing with her chemo/radiation and all that. It was a really good trip. Except for one thing. I was sick as a dog for most of it. I had a cold going out there and hoped it would be over for the most part by the time we got there. It lasted almost till we came home. And then Saturday night, I got incredibly sick to my stomach. Give me a break! No one else got sick though, so I am glad for that. But it was just aweful. There's really nothing worse than feeling like you need to sit next to the toilet for hours at a time.
But anyway... I'll stop talking about how sick I was, and put some pics on here.

This is Makayla and her Grandma Nail. Jason's mom. She loved her grandma. And especially loved playing with her fun refridgerator magnets.

This is at Jason's grandma's house, out in the middle of a bunch of corn fields. It is so quiet and pretty out there.
I mean really, how pretty is that.

Cousin Landon, who had a blast with Makayla. He's not the baby of the family any more!

Something new

Anyone know of a good online digital scrapbook place? I heard about it from my hairdresser, and thought it sounded cool. I want to try it and see if its easier on the computer, than all the cutting, gluing, hole punching, etc...
So if anyone knows how to get started, or a good place to get started, let me know!!

Makayla is 8 months old!

So I haven't posted Makayla pics in a while it seems. So I'll put a few in here. She is 8 months old now, it's gone by SO fast! I can't believe she's so close to a year old already. I swear I just had her like a month ago.

Oh, and also a pic of my new hair color...it's quite a bit lighter than what I was going for, so what do you think? Jason told me it was really "streaky." Haha...guess he likes a more natural look. Oh well. I'm thinking I'll change it again in November before my cousin's wedding. Probably have her darken the blonde streaks a bit. There's some awesome brownish red streaks in there though that I am loving!!!

**so I just noticed in this pic, you can't really see the color that great...it's much blonder than it appears here. Maybe I'll get a better one on here tomorrow.
