Denial

Nope...uh uh...it can't be.

In 10 days my little miss will be 1 year old! I seriously cannot believe it. Was it really that long ago that I could feel her little kicks and jabs on my ribs? Now I'm feeling her punches and smacks on my face? There's no way it's been that long already! Impossible. That's why I have yet to do anything birthday related yet...No planning, no gifts, nadda. And I'm sure in about 8 or 9 days I'll freak out and realize that maybe I should go get her some stuff. And perhaps make a cake for her to destroy, and maybe tell the folks and others when they can come watch her destroy her cake...
But I still have 10 days to enjoy my "baby."

A Good Day.

Today is Friday. Always a great day, but today was an even better Friday than usual. My brother got engaged today!! What?? I know!! It's crazy, my little Greggers is all the sudden all grown up and ready to be a husband.
He even let me and 2 of his friends be there for it....albeit, hidden from view, and freezing my tooshie off... it was a cool thing to witness. He was not as nervous as our other brother when he proposed, or at least it didn't appear that way from where I was crouched, behind a tree...But it went perfectly, she was completely surprised, and totally freaked out. It was great. All except that the whole purpose of me hiking up the mountain to witness was for me to take pics for my parents who are out of town, and brother and fience' were behind a tree the entire time...so all I got was blurry legs. Oh well.
I'm excited!! They are getting married!!! 2 brothers down, one to go. But not for a loooong time...he's only 14.

It's days like today that I like to ask myself, why in the heck did we decide to have a kid!? Oh my gosh. I want to rip all of my hair out.

She's pulling things out of the garbage...
She's pulling HER hair out...
She's stinky...again...
She's drooling...
She's cranky...
She's tired...
She only wants to be held...
She is refusing nap time...
She's screaming...
She's wiping her yucky nose all over my shirt...
She's emptying my purse...
She's throwing food everywhere...

She's nonstop!!

Back to life

Back to reality. Blah. The Holidays are so much fun being around family, partying, gaming, eating, snacking, munching, and then eating again, all day long. I love it. I gained 3 pounds. Yay. I'm not happy about that, but do I regret eating all that lovely food?? NO!

So, it's back to work, and the hum-drum of normal life! I have lots of Christmas/Illinois fun pics to post, and when I find my camera connector USB cord, I will download them...if I can just remember what the heck I did with that thing...shoot.
