Road trippin'

Ok people. Here is the idea. We want to go on a family vacation this summer, and so we've been talking about a road trip. Nothing better right!? Me and the hubby, the open road, great music, and a peaceful 14 month old in the back seat!

Haha....if only in my dreams. Let's just not think about the traffic, getting lost, crankyness, screaming kids, bathroom breaks, etc...

So here's the tentative plan. Head out to good old California, take the PCH up into Oregon and Washington, and then back down through Idaho, and then landing back home in Northern Utah. One big giant sort of circle. Now I just need some tips, ideas, fun places to stop and see that we would never think of. Here's where you come in. I know you have these ideas, tips and fun places we should stop and see. So you need to share!!

Playing

We have been having SO much fun outside!! It has been so nice lately! Which just makes it so hard to sit inside and work!! Especially when working from home! So I have been taking lots of pictures and playing around with some of them on the computer just for fun.

We've also been going for some good long walks. Yesterday Makayla and I walked from my parents house to my brother's house. It ends up being about 3 miles roundtrip. We had so much fun! Playing with cousins, eating cake, chatting about random things.

Today, we walked a different route, and I think it was about 2 miles, maybe just over 2. I'm hoping to get into a habit of walking at least a mile every day while it's nice weather. I need to get more excersize! I've only been getting to the gym once a week, which is better than not at all of course, but I hardly think it is doing me all that much good. So I am on a quest to lose a few pounds. Not a ton, mostly just get back into shape. A shape. Haha. That way the idea of having another baby in the next year or so won't be as terrifying to me. I was not as in shape as I wanted to be when I got pregnant the first time, so I am hoping for better results with the next one, whenever that may be.

Tomorrow maybe I will actually take some pictures while we are out on our walk!!
