My sweet tooth got the best of me...

So this is what I did at 10:30 p.m. last night...go ahead, snicker if you must...shake your head in disapproval, but these cookies ROCKED! I believe it's the best batch I have ever made. And I am this close to perfecting this recipe. I have tweeked the recipe just a tad, and I think it tastes better than ever!
And NOTHING tastes as good as a nice warm chocolate chip cookie at 11p.m. Totally worth staying up a little late for!

Big Girl

Holy Cow...how is my little girl growing so fast!! She's practically a teenager already I swear!! Ok, maybe not quite that big yet, but she sure acts like one sometimes!

Here she is getting ready to come to work with me for a few hours. She loves going to work...I...do...not...

Here she is painting Emma's fingernails. She was all excited that SHE got to paint someone elses nails. How grown up. And only one little mishap on Emma's arm...haha.

Here she is getting ready to get in the pool with daddy on a nasty rainy windy day. We were there for the Fire Department's annual pool party, which gets rained on EVERY year...But it was a free couple hours at the pool, so we made the best of it.Having a blast!!!
And this was the gorgeous rainbow we saw on the way home from the pool. It was too big to fit in my camera window, but it was SO beautiful. One of the best ones I have ever seen. It was on the front page of the paper the next day.

Little Helper

Makayla helped me make cookies the other night. Don't pay any attention to her sad hair...I neglected to do it that day. But we DID get to the cookies, and really, what's more important? Cookies, or cute hair!? Do I really even need to ask?

Memory Grove

This last weekend we went down to Salt Lake to spend the holiday with Jason's brother and sister. We got to spend the night at Austin and Jackie's place, and then went to hit up a couple of furniture store sales on Monday, then for a picnic up at Memory Grove. It was a blast just hanging out, relaxing and playing outside with everyone. *Note to self*...bring shorts next time...holy cow, it got hot in jeans. It's been so rainy and cold lately I wasn't expecting it to get that hot!

Makayla had a blast, and was getting alot of encouragement from her aunts and uncle to start wearing "big girl panties." And sure enough, we had our first successful potty trip yesterday! Big girl panties are coming soon, I can feel it!! Hooray!

And, because I am an idiot, and brought the camera with us, but left it packed in our bag the WHOLE time, here is a picture that Ashley took of us and Austin and Jackie at the bridge at Memory Grove. So cute.
