Orphan boys, girly room, and a shaved cat.

Bet that title got your attention didn't it!? This is probably the most random grouping of pictures ever. But it's what we've been up to the last few weeks, so here we go! Be prepared for picture overload. It's been a while since I've gotten pics off the camera!

We finally got Makayla's room painted, set up and ready to go!! I still have to put together a flower arrangement for the top of her dresser, but it's mostly done!! We just need to find a really cute bedspread to match her purple/pink/green room. The one on there is just an old one my mom had when she gave us that bed. It's ok, but not super girly...
And that dresser, we got on KSL classifieds for cheap-o!! LOVE it!!


There's most of her stuffed animals...and I am in love with those curtains. I think we are going to get some light green ones just like them for Brooklyn's room, once we decide to tackle that one.

And I love these cute metal flowers. Got them at Hobby Lobby, 50% off!

Here is the shaved cat...haha. She looks so funny. She has such thick long fur, we have to shave her in the summer, since it gets all gross from being outside. Even though she looks really funny, this is the best shave job yet! This is her trying to climb up my leg...with no claws....:)
And for work, they had a fundraiser dinner and needed some little orphan boys to go collect the donations. So we had Makayla and Haylee and Dillon and some other friends kids come help. They all looked so dirty and cute!

my flowers! we have loads of these blooming all around the house. I love them. Too bad I can't seem to keep my potted plants alive...but these ones are rockin it!
At the Cache Valley cruise in. Baking in the sun. Actually, we are in the shade here...but it only lasted for about 6 seconds.
And that's pretty much everything we've been up to the last month! I'll add more pics of Kayla's room when I get her flower thingy done.
Now we just have to finish unpacking before Jason's fam gets here the first week in August!! One more room to paint, boxes to store/unpack, pictures to hang...we've been slacking. But we did finally get the sprinkler system running!! WOOHOO! Jason made about 15 trips to home depot before finally calling someone, who then told us that Home Depot and Lowe's have stopped carrying the specific part we needed, so he had to go to some specialty store to find it. That made Jason feel a little bit better about not being able to find it!
Jason and his dad are going to be building him a work bench in the garage while he's here. That's going to be a fun project for them. And Jason is wanting to build a bookshelf on one of our walls downstairs, so we'll see if they have time for that too. I'm excited for that. We have SO MANY books!!
