ketchup...er...catch-up...

Just a quick catch-up while I have a few minutes before nap time is over. Really, only like 2. So we got back from Illinois last Saturday. It was SO good to go out there for a week and see Jason's family. We were able to spend his birthday out there with everyone, which he hasn't gotten to do in years. We got to go with Cassie to her weekly doctor visit in St. Louis, and then go on a quick walk through of the St. Louis Zoo, which was awesome!! We can't wait to go back next time when we can really take our time and spend the whole day there. It's FREE after all!

We had cook-outs, movie nights, tornado watches...yikes, boating on the lake, driving through the country...etc. It was a great time.

We also got to see how Cassie was doing. She's pretty frail these days. Since she found out that the cancer has spread, she's been pretty depressed, understandably, and she's just SO thin. The wind practically blows her over. It's just really hard especially for Jason to see her in that condition. Growing up she was the athlete in the family. So it's hard to see her so frail and weak.
We are hoping to get out there again soon depending on how she does in the next couple of weeks.
Mother's day was great. We got to spend the day with Jason's mom. She's pretty stressed out and worn out from taking care of Cassie.

I got my mother's day gift from Jason when we got back to Logan, cause we flew out early in the a.m. on Mother's day. He got me a Tiffany lamp that I had been eyeballing for quite some time now. I LOOOVE it!!

So pretty. Even prettier in person...the picture doesn't do it justice. I have never really had a thing for Tiffany Lamps, but this one just caught my eye, and every time I saw it I wanted it more and more. I have the best husband in the world, who treats me like a Queen, and spoils me rotten every once in a while!!

I will post Zoo pics later, as I think I hear you know who rustling...

Sounds like a really fun trip!! Sorry about Cassie though, that sucks so bad. I hope that her condition improves. :(

Can't wait to see the zoo pics! We're taking Will to San Diego zoo this weekend. It should be fun! The only "zoo" he's been to is Willow Park Zoo. :)
