Cancer sucks

So...i think the title of this post says it all. Cancer sucks. I'm not sure I could even find someone that actually likes cancer. But I think if you have someone in your life that has it, you hate it even more. It is a horrible, horrible disease.
My husband's sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor in August. She'e been through some pretty rough patches with it, but the last 2 months or so, have been pretty good for her. She got off all of her meds, except her chemo. She was off steroids completely, and was starting to feel better. She still had some facial paralysis, and some other vision problems, but we were all thinking she was doing pretty well.
She was supposed to be on a plane coming out to Utah this morning with Jason's dad. We were going to be celebrating Austin's graduation, and spending the whole weekend with family. I guess this whole week she has been having severe headaches and been vomitting all week, so they moved her scheduled MRI up to last night. They got the preliminary readings around midnight last night and it showed some swelling around the tumor, and some other things, but they said they weren't going to have a full read of the scan until later this morning. So we got the call a few hours ago. Not good news. The cancer has spread to the entire front part of her brain. She has alot of swelling around the tumor, and there's really nothing they can do. They are going to be sending her home with morphine for the pain.
Today is the worst day ever. We don't know yet how long exactly they are expecting her to make it. The initial diagnosis back in August was about a year, if everything went well. It's been 8 months.
So send prayers and good thoughts for Cassie.
We love you Cass!! See you soon!

Oh my goodness, Nellie. That gave me chills reading that - I am so sorry. That is so hard. She's not very old, is she? Oh goodness, she'll be in my thoughts & prayers. Good luck & I am really sorry you all have to go through this.

It's very unscrupulous, cancer... no respect for age, morality, gender, general health, or attitude on life. Very sad.
